In an area that boasts some of the top music venues in the state, there is a new contender: Vintage Oaks' Timber Ridge Park. The park was the site of its second concert on Tuesday, with the popular Texas band Shinyribs putting on a hip-shaking, soul-stirring show at Vintage Oaks' newest amenity.

More than 400 people from Vintage Oaks and all over the Hill Country came out for an evening of great music, with hits like “Country DJ” and “Satellite” while guests danced on the lawn and cheered for an encore. Those in attendance also enjoyed great eats and drinks from Bayou J’s Cajun Kitchen, Lady Picoza’s, Pure Aloha’s shaved ice, and wine and sangria from Dry Comal Creek Winery.

Timber Ridge Park, which was officially dedicated last month, was the site of a concert from country star Jack Ingram for the first concert, with Vintage Oaks residents packing the park. Last night’s turnout and exuberant crowd are further evidence that the Hill Country music scene, and venues like the open-air Timber Ridge Park, are a hit. The lush surroundings of Timber Ridge Park are well suited to concerts, as well as a variety of other gatherings and activities.

Ample benches and swings that hang from the majestic oak trees in the park—including one that’s 300 years old—provide seating while the wide lawn is a great place for a picnic, or a pickup touch football game.

Timber_Ridge_Veterans_WalkOne especially unique aspect of the park has quickly become a great source of pride for Vintage Oaks residents: Veteran’s Walk, a commemorative stone pathway created from individual veterans’ stones, some with service dates back to the American Revolution that honors veterans; nearly 100 have already been purchased by Vintage Oaks property owners.

Walking trails in the park also connect it to new homesites in the Timber Ridge neighborhood, offering heavily wooded, one-acre-minimum homesites at an elevated location with long views of the Texas Hill Country’s rolling terrain. Thanks to its unique location in the back corner of the community, Timber Ridge offers a private setting with a greenbelt surround while remaining within walking distance to several of the resort-style amenities, including the Olympic-size pool, lazy river, Tuscan clubhouse, and ball fields.
