Schlitterbahn took the saying “everything is bigger in Texas” to the max by creating the largest water slide in the world recorded by the Guinness Book of World Records here in New Braunfels, Texas. The 168 foot adventure ride has everything a water slide has and more. With height and speed, this crazy slide was built to showcase itself at the Schlitterbahn in Kansas City, Kansas. Here is a section from My San Antonio News with more about the new thriller:

Tara Henry said the conveyor belt is a one-of-a-kind, which can slow repairs because "it's not like we can just go to Home Depot and get that one part." However, plans indicate the ride will be open to the public before the end of July.

Jeff Henry, who designed the ride, and John Schooley, were the first people to speed down the Verruckt, shown in one of the videos.

For Texas thrill seekers, Tara Henry said she "is sure there is something special waiting in the wings" for the New Braunfels park.

Even though this new water slide isn’t available at the New Braunfels location, doesn’t mean your summer can’t be just as fun! Take the kids and friends to Schlitterbahn, located near Vintage Oaks, for a day of fun filled water adventures.
