radionb.comHorizon Travel America just came out with its list of 10 U.S. Destinations to Visit in Spring, and New Braunfels is one of its featured cities.

“Spring has sprung here in the Texas Hill country, which means that New Braunfels is ready to welcome a stream of visitors to this mecca of water recreation,” they said. “The city boasts a host of accommodating adventure outfitters who make it easy to enjoy boating, ‘toobing,’ swimming, fishing, or rafting in the sparkling waters of our two pristine rivers.”

This is an exciting time in New Braunfels, with several fun-filled events taking place.

Exciting seasonal events have kicked off, giving people even more reason to enjoy all that New Braunfels has to offer.

Schlitterbahn Waterpark and Resort, the Best Waterpark for the 17th straight year according to Amusement Today’, opened for weekend admission on April 25, with daily hours starting on May 14.

The New Braunfels Farmers Market is open for business, and Saturday, May 2, they celebrate their fifth birthday with live music, a celebratory cake, and a yummy new vendor, Crepelandia.

On Thursday, May 7, from 5–8pm, Dry Comal Creek Winery hosts a Wedding Showcase with venue tours, appetizers, music, signature cocktails and local wedding professionals.

Debuting this year and intended as yet another exciting annual event in the city, the Wurstfest Craft Beer Festival is set for May 9 on the Wurstfest grounds. Included will be craft beer tastings, live music, and a home brew competition.

Also coming soon, the highly anticipated Fischer Park will host its Grand Opening on Saturday and Sunday, May 16–17. Fischer Park will be the largest park in New Braunfels and will include two miles of greenway trails, two fishing ponds, a playground, a sprayground, and great views.

New Braunfels is also famously home to Vintage Oaks, the fastest-growing community in the Texas Hill Country. Vintage Oaks offers a superior location between Austin and San Antonio right on the Texas Wine Trail, an array of land and home options, and resort-style amenities including multiple pools, a lazy river, a clubhouse, walking trails, and numerous parks and ball fields.
