This popular community, located in the fast-growing city of Fate, just up the highway from downtown Dallas, ranks at No. 41 after a year of exceptionally strong sales under the SouthStar Communities umbrella. It was the only community in the Dallas area to make the prestigious list, which is compiled every year by John Burns Real Estate Consulting. Texas had the second-highest share of top masterplans in 2019 at 27%, according to the report, which is based on sales, design, landscaping, amenities and land planning; The only other North Texas community named was in Fort Worth. Several Austin and Houston communities also made the list. Fate is a straight shot to downtown Dallas via I-30 but ensconced in a desirable, family-friendly setting with highly rated schools and a welcoming atmosphere.
