Texas continues to lead the national real estate market and Texas land sales are hotter than ever. Those are the findings from the Texas Association of REALTORS®’s (TAR) new Texas Annual Housing Report—results of which continue to support ongoing real estate trends in the Hill Country.
“Texas is a national leader in real estate growth, housing demand, and development, which attracts homebuyers from across the country and around the globe,” said TAR Chairman Leslie Rouda Smith. “Texas’s diverse economy, rapid population growth, and high quality of life continue to fuel home sales activity across the state.”
Hill Country masterplanned communities like Vintage Oaks have seen that demand firsthand. Vintage Oaks is the fastest-growing community in the Hill Country for the last three years, with buyers coming from all over the state, the country, and internationally to buy an existing custom home or a brand-new custom or semi-custom home. Even more are drawn to the community’s Hill Country land for sale so they can build a custom home in New Braunfels.
“Small land sales were the strongest segment of the Texas real estate market in 2016, with nearly 19% sales growth year over year,” said the Report, part of an overall outlook that shows “total sales are on pace for a record year.”

- Growing cities—New Braunfels and San Marcos are consistently rated as two of the fastest-growing cities in the nation.
