Christmas in the Hill Country is a special time to get together with loved ones, be merry and festive, and enjoy a holiday season filled with special events. With so much to do in this favorite Texas area, you can be celebrating almost every night during the month of December.

35th Annual Caroling on the Plaza
Friday, Dec. 11, 6:30–8pm
New Braunfels

What could be more festive than caroling? How about caroling on the square in New Braunfels? It’s the 35th year for this favorite Hill Country holiday event

Canyon Lake Christmas Parade
Saturday, Dec. 12, 11am to 1pm
Canyon Lake

The biggest Christmas parade in Comal County offers a mile and a half of fun and festivities with marching bands, antique cars, hot rods, horses, a Commemorative Air Force Flyover, and the arrival of Santa himself.

Christmas at Fr. Croghan
Saturday, Dec. 12, 5– 8pm
Burnet

Take part in this n old-fashioned Christmas celebration and experience what it would have been like for the pioneers at Christmastime in the 1800s. Costumed participants will reenact the period in decorated log cabins, live music will be playing, and hot cider and cookies will be served.

St Judes Ranch for Children Annual Jingle Bell Run 5K
Saturday, Dec. 12, 8–10am
Gruene Hall

This annual 5K Run/Walk presented by Comal ISD benefit St. Judes Ranch for Children. This family-friendly event offers a separate kids race.

New Braunfels' Landa Recreation Center

Create holiday crafts including ornaments, decorations, and cards as a family while enjoying hot chocolate and cookies. 

Cowboy Christmas Market Days

Still need gifts for family and friends? Head to Boerne for the Cowboy Christmas Market Days, with hundreds of booths plus love music and tasty eats.

Dine-In Flick with St. Nick

Landa Haus, New Braunfels

A great place to spend the evening with the kids enjoying all the magic of the season! Appetizers and hot chocolate will be served and a number of activities including cookie decorating and photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, a train ride through Landa Park, and viewing of the favorite holiday movie Polar Express will make for a great time.

46th Annual LBJ Tree Lighting
Sunday, Dec. 20, 6–8pm 
Stonewall

Revelers have been coming to Stonewall for 45 years to see the tree light up—a holiday tradition started by President and Mrs. Johnson. Carolers, a live nativity, Santa Claus, and refreshments will make this evening fun and festive.
