Halloween is the when families enjoy spending some costumed and candy-filled time together. And, this year, there are a number of opportunities to take advantage of Halloween fun in New Braunfels.
The Annual Downtown Halloween Spooktacular
Get an early start on your trick-or-treating at the Annual Downtown Halloween Spooktacular, scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 29, from 3:30 to 6:30p.m. in historic Downtown New Braunfels. Downtown merchants will be providing candy, and there will also be children's costume contest and family activities!
Blue Lotus Winery’s Halloween Festival
Blue Lotus Winery’s Halloween Festival on Halloween day features trick-or-treating, a costume contest, FX makeup demos, food, wine, and movies, from noon to 9pm.
Fischer Park is throwing a good old-fashioned Fall Festival on Halloween day from 4 to 6pm, with a pumpkin roll obstacle course, lawn games and family activities, and a costume contest.
1st Annual Howls and Meows Halloween Festival
Why should your pets miss all the Halloween fun? Bring them to the 1st Annual Howls and Meows Halloween Festival at Fischer Vet Clinic on Halloween from noon to 3pm for a pet costume contest, bouncy house, face painting, carnival games, food and drinks, and pet adoptions.
For some adult Halloween fun on October 31, head over to AJ's ALE HOUSE at 9pm for their Halloween Bash. They’ll have live music on the patio, a Rock 'n' Roll Sing Along Piano Bar Show and a costume contest with $500 in cash and prizes up for grabs in the costume contest.

Instead of gorging yourself on all that candy, take in some Hill Country scenery instead! Twin Elm Guest Ranch is hosting a Halloween Hike on Saturday, Oct. 31 from 6:30 to 9:30pm

Or, head to Bandera for their Annual Hunter's Game Dinner & Dance on Saturday, Oct. 31.
Also in Bandera, the 11th Street Cowboy Bar hosts their 10th annual Halloween costume ball on Saturday, Oct. 31.
Comfort’s Muleshoe Farm & Ranch is the home of this year’s Harvest Moon Celebration on Halloween, starting at noon. With music, activities, and entertainment for the whole family, it’s sure to be a great time for all. And, because it starts at noon, you’ll have plenty of time to get back to New Braunfels.
And once you do, you’ll want to take a ride over to Vintage Oaks. Fall is the ideal time to tour the Hill Country’s fastest-growing community and see all that’s going on, from new Texas land releases like Deer Creek to New Braunfels homes for sale at The Reserve.
