Parks & Walking Trails
Six neighborhood parks are sprinkled throughout the community offering playgrounds, walking trails, ponds, disc golf and more! Located in the heart of the community, the largest of the five, Valley Ridge Park offers 154 acres of athletic recreation. Maintained by the city of Cedar Hill, Valley Ridge features 18 soccer fields, 6 baseball fields, 4 softball fields, 3 football fields, 4 playgrounds, a 1.5 mile paved trail, a stocked fishing pond and a 3,000-s.f. amphitheater for outdoor concerts and events.

Bike Trails
Currently under construction, Lake Ridge will soon feature 3.6 miles of paved bike trails throughout the community. Construction is scheduled for completion in Fall 2013 and the trail will connect to a city-wide trail encompassing 23 miles.

Cedar Hill State Park
Located across the street from Lake Ridge, Cedar Hill State Park offers 1,826 acres of natural beauty and recreation. Cedar Hill’s park is one of the most visited state parks in Texas and is known its premiere North Texas mountain bike trail, which offers over 1,200 acres of mountain bike landscape with 15 miles of intense riding. Other state park amenities include picnic areas, fishing jetties, swim beaches, playgrounds, boat ramps and camping.
