It was a season to remember with several great events at Vintage Oaks. But if you thought the summer was exciting here, wait until you see what’s coming up in the fall, which we kicked off with some Halloween fun. With so much going on, it’s a great time to visit the Hill Country.

Farm fresh

This season is prime time for farm-fresh goodies, and the Hill Country shows it off beautifully with several farms and farmer’s markets. Stahlmans at Bear Creek remains one of New Braunfels’ favorite spots for farm-to-table fare. Stop by to check out their latest offerings, or head to Lydell’s, a short distance from Vintage Oaks that will now be open through fall and winter as a gift shop and fruit and vegetable stand. The New Braunfels Farmer’s Market is a favorite hangout on Saturdays. In addition to the farm-fresh produce, you’ll find tasty muffins and kids’ entertainment with live music and a stage and play area.

Events

In New Braunfels, the arrival of fall means great festivals, tons of outdoor activities, family fun at every turn, and more exciting events at Vintage Oaks. Wurstfest is about to start and we are as jazzed as you are about the “best 10 days in sausage history.” Explore what Expedia called the “top thing to do in Texas” and one of the best Oktoberfests in the world, with tons of tasty food, craft beer, live music, and numerous activities for the kids.

This season will also see a slew of holiday preparations as Santa’s Ranch, one of the best holiday light exhibits in Texas featuring more than 1.5 million lights, opens the first week of November, photos with Cowboy Kringle in Gruene kick off, and Old Gruene Market Days transitions to Gruene Christmas Market Days.

One of the most exciting events at Vintage Oaks is the upcoming Grand Opening of the new Fitness Club. This highly anticipated new amenity will offer 7,800 square feet of space exclusively for the use of Vintage Oaks owners and residents. Built in response to requests from those who call the community home, the Club will feature cardio and weight equipment, an outdoor fitness area, personal training areas, an age-restricted pool, saunas, and an outdoor spa.
