That’s a wrap on the Vintage Oaks 2019 Summer Concert Series, after another summer of great tunes, great friends, and great fun. Chris Colston played to a rapt crowd at Timber Ridge Park to close out the season, performing original songs including ‘Me and You’ and ‘Gone’ as well as a unique cover of Gavin DeGraw’s ‘I Don’t Want to Be.’ He was accompanied by a Hill Country sunset to remember, as Vintage Oaks owners came out in force to enjoy yet another great show.

The season was a hit—again—further cementing the series as one of the Hill Country's favorite live music events. Great established and upcoming acts included East Texas native Colston; famed country-Americana star Jason Eady; and singer-songwriter Bri Bagwell, one of country music’s shining stars. People arrive early to the shows to grab their favorite spot on the lawn or under the towering oak trees, watch the kids play, enjoy tasty eats from one of the Hill Country’s favorite food trucks, and, especially, have a chance to mix and mingle with neighbors and friends while drinking in the incredible scenery.

The Summer Concert Series is one of many ways Vintage Oaks supports the community’s family-friendly nature and brings neighbors together.

"We’ve been to almost all” of the concerts,” said Vintage Oaks owners Frank and Angela Baker. “It’s a great way to get with your neighbors, socialize, catch up, and have fun. It’s good bonding time with your neighbors. Having this feature is special. There’s not too many other communities that do this.”

Added owners Kirk & Annette Smith: “We love live music, and have enjoyed the Summer Concert Series. “The amenities were one of the things that drew us here. We use the Amenity Center for working out, and we really like the walking trails and all the groups you can participate in.”

The Vintage Oaks 2019 Summer Concert Series will be back again next summer. In the meantime, owners have countless opportunities to enjoy activities and events all-year-round. The community calendar includes special outings and activities for all ages, including swim-in movies, an annual Easter Egg Hunt, a Halloween event, and the Christmas sledding party. In addition, there are numerous groups and clubs that have formed in the community around favorite pastimes such as dining out, playing Bunco, and wine tasting.
