It marks the unofficial start of the holiday season in New Braunfels, and it’s now open! Get in the car and get in the spirt, with a trip to the famous Santa’s Ranch. Home of the favorite Hill Country Christmas lights—all 1.5 million of them—as well as several other popular holiday features, Santa’s Ranch is a Texas tradition that area residents and visitors love.
Santa’s Ranch is known as the “Greatest Light Display in Texas,” featuring “lit up gingerbread houses, nativity scenes, depictions of the North Pole, and more.” It opened on November 4 and will stay open until January 1. Hours are Sunday through Thursday, 6–10pm and Friday and Saturday, 6–11pm.
Be welcomed by sleigh bells, as well as Rudolph, Frosty, and the Three Wise Men as you enter the Christmas Ranch. And if your brood brought their appetite, you’ll be happy to know the homemade kettle corn and hot cocoa are back for another year, along with roasted pecans and other holiday snacks.
The opening of Santa’s Ranch is the first of many holiday events in the Hill Country:
