Love running? Love being able to enjoy Hill Country views? The San Antonio RoadRunners (SARR) Labor Day Whine Run on Monday, September 5, allows you to combine these two favorite Hill Country activities. Held every Labor Day, the Whine Run starts at, and is co-hosted by, one of the most popular Hill Country wineries, Dry Comal Creek Vineyards, beginning at 7:30am. Leading New Braunfels masterplanned community Vintage Oaks is the other host, and provides a stunning backdrop for the five-mile run, which meanders through the community and the picturesque rolling hills of New Braunfels. Vintage Oaks is located directly across the street from Dry Comal Creek, right on the Texas Wine Trail in Comal County.
This race is a great opportunity to test your fitness level with a backdrop of beautiful natural scenery, and is well-attended every year, having more than doubled in size since it started. Race day will also feature:
- A tech shirt and engraved commemorative wine glass for the first 750 registrants
- Awards to the overall top male and female and age group runners
- A post-race celebration at Dry Comal Creek with delicious food, beverages, and Dry Comal Creek Vineyards wines
